Opportunity:
The Philadelphia comedy scene has spread like wild fire through the city with independent shows popping up all over the city. When East Falls resident and comedian Daniel Ostrov approached Trolley Car Cafe manager, Jasmine Fields about starting a standup comedy show in the neighborhood, she happily agreed to make Trolley Car Cafe the host spot.

StephCo. Media, has partnered with D.O.T. show creator Daniel Ostrov and Trolley Car management to develop the ideal branding to represent the show. StephCo. Media provides promotional materials including postcards, posters, and digital applications (social media and online ticket platforms).

OBJECTIVE:
The goal was to bring comedy to the East Falls neighborhood while promoting the new dining hall and highlighting the return of Trolley Car Cafe's dinner menu.

The Result: 
Dirty Old Town, a monthly stand up comedy showcase hosted by Dan. Ostrov offering laugh-out-loud fun featuring stand-up comedy's best, over dinner and drinks!

The title "Dirty Old Town" was borrows from Irish-British Celtic punk band, The Pogues' legendary remake of the classic Irish folk song "Dirty Old Town", paying homage to the grit and small town-big city feel onPhiladelphia. 

The promotional design (postcard and posters) is a mix of chaotic collage that includes images of traditional Philly row homes, high contrast color text atop light pastels.
